Booking a guide
To help you run your own independant search, Calvados Tourisme has set up an online system you can use to book a guide directly.
Use our search engine to quickly find what guide(s) is/are available on a specific date, in your chosen language.
You can send them an email using a pre-formatted form, to receive a quote.

RATES 2012
The prices mentioned below dot not include extras such as entrance to museums and sites as well as the meals. They are additional and would be booked by you.
Guiding services are liable for VAT (19.6%), but some guides are not subject to this system.

* ½ day guided-tour: in the morning the tour finishes up at 12:30am at the latest / in the afternoon it starts from 1:30pm at the soonest.
** Repas : le panier "pique-nique" n'est pas considéré comme un repas. Le guide devra alors être dédommagé de 20 €.
*** Travel expenses: travel expenses are calculated from the guide''s home to the meeting point with the guide (return included).
WAITING TIME
Forsee 1 hour. Beyond this point, if the guide has not received any information from the client or group, he/she is within his/her rights to leave, understanding thet his/her payment will nevertheless be paid in full.
IN CASE OF CANCELLATION
- less than 48 hours: the guide should be paid in full (except for travel expenses and meal indemnity).
- less than 14 days: the guide should receive a 20 % indemnity of price of the booked tour.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
To be made directly to the guide, if possible the same day as the visit. If the payment is made via a bank with no intermedairy in France, the Agency/TO etc, is invited to add 31 € (indicative) for the exchange and transaction fees imposed on the guide.
